Can You Give 90?

At Brave Church we are passionate about helping you find and follow Jesus, and in today’s world that requires a Brave vision.

God has called us to be BRAVE.
Brave to love.
Brave to show up.
Brave to stay married.
Brave to share your story.
Brave to start a new business.
Brave to be public about your faith.
Brave to be filled with truth and grace.
Brave to say what you mean, and mean what you say.

Each week so many of you share your stories with us, we laugh, we rejoice, we cry and we do life with you.

Last weekend Pastor Daren introduced Brave Church's 2017 vision. He shared three simple yet powerful ways that each of us can continue to do life together and get involved.

Steve Jobs once said, "If you are working on something exciting that you really care about, you don’t have to be pushed. The vision pulls you."

It is with this heart that we invite you to live this vision with us.

- Pray 90 -

The Brave Vision:  That each of us will commit to praying for 90 minutes a week for our Neighborhood.

Here at Brave Church we believe in Prayer.  We pray because Jesus set the example to pray and we pray because God’s word calls us to pray.

"Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful." –Colossians 4:2 (NIV)

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

2 Chronicles 7:14 (NIV)

The Brave Vision: That each of us will commit to Volunteer 90 minutes per week to serve in a ministry in Church or out in our community.

“Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much” (Helen Keller).  We are thankful that God made each of us unique, and consequently we each have gifts that only by living out our purpose can be used to serve his Kingdom.

The Brave Vision: That we give 90 dollars a month above our regular giving towards our community needs.

Let's bravely challenge ourselves to trust God with 90 additional dollars. It is always a stretch to do more, whether that's more time praying, volunteering or giving. But, we can faithfully remember that God will abundantly bless us when we decide, "to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver," (2 Corinthians 9:7-8).

For the month of December, any $90 committed to the Give 90 vision, will go these community causes: Teen Esteem, City Impact SF, and Valley Pregnancy Care.

We love our church family, we love our city and we want to be used by God.

So take some time to think about the vision, think about what makes you excited so that you are pulled by the vision that the God has for you.

Be encouraged by how God is already using you! Pastor Daren shared with us the story of our roofing project this week which was part of our 2016 vision.  Eight weeks ago the church was asked to consider donating to this project  - we needed to raise $50,000 dollars.  The work commenced with Brave Faith that the money would be provided.  The total raised in just 8 weeks was $72,000!  The total cost due to damage discovered during the roofing process: $70,000!

God helped each of you give exactly what was needed - Thank you.

We know that as you stand out in Brave Faith for our 90:90:90 project that God will honor your 90:90:90.
